The Shoreline sound design
The Shoreline is an interactive web documentary by Prof. Liz Miller which explores the impacts of sea level rise in coastal areas.
"By featuring stories of resilience from shoreline communities around the world, we hope to inspire diverse ways of responding to our changing environment." — Liz Miller
For this website, I've designed soundscape loops for each of the six chapters: Stormy Skies, Living Shorelines, Rising Waters, An Endangered Ocean, Currents of Migration and Manufactured Coasts. Blending and effecting samples of Ondes Martenot, whale songs, water, birds and noise, I've sought to create a cohesive and inviting sonic narrative which speaks to each chapter's theme.
This documentary was presented at RIDM 2017.
